Reddit Insights and Conversation Summary aim to transform two decades of dialogue into strategic gold for brands.
At Cannes Lions 2025, Reddit introduced a bold step forward in marketing intelligence: Reddit Insights and Conversation Summary, two new add-on tools designed to convert 20 years of community-driven conversation into actionable insights for marketers and agencies. The tools were unveiled with global agency Publicis Groupe as the exclusive alpha partner, signaling a high-level commitment to bringing community intelligence into the heart of brand strategy.
Announced by Reddit’s executive team at a packed panel during the festival, these tools harness the platform’s vast archive of public posts, comments, and patterns of engagement to help brands decode what people really care about—before trends hit the mainstream. Rather than relying on fleeting social metrics, Reddit is offering context-rich, layered understanding powered by long-form, user-generated content across thousands of niche and mainstream communities.
Reddit Insights, the first tool, allows users to explore sentiment, emerging themes, and audience mindsets across specific topics, subreddits, or even competitor brands. It provides marketing professionals with a window into how real people talk, question, and debate in their own words, without filters. Conversation Summary, its complement, uses generative AI to distill key talking points from lengthy Reddit threads—making dense, complex discussion easily digestible and trend-ready.
Publicis, one of the largest agency holding companies in the world, is already working closely with Reddit’s product and data science teams to stress-test the tools. According to LBB’s Addison Capper, who covered the launch, early feedback indicates strong use cases across creative strategy, trend forecasting, and brand safety analysis.
Speaking at the launch event, Reddit’s Chief Marketing Officer declared: “For two decades, Reddit has hosted the world’s most honest, insightful conversations. Now we’re giving marketers the tools to listen better, learn faster, and make smarter decisions.”
Reddit’s move also comes at a time when third-party cookies are on the decline and contextual understanding of audiences is becoming more valuable than ever. By positioning Reddit not just as a media platform but as an intelligence layer, the company is making a clear bid for a deeper seat at the brand strategy table.
As marketers seek more signal and less noise in the data-saturated digital space, Reddit’s community intelligence tools could prove to be an essential new asset—if they’re used with care and cultural sensitivity.
