Mattel has unveiled one of its most anticipated crossover collectibles of the year: a Monster High doll inspired by Coraline, the beloved stop-motion heroine from LAIKA’s 2009 film Coraline. The collaboration brings together two cult pop-culture universes, blending gothic storytelling with fashion-driven toy design aimed squarely at collectors and nostalgic fans.
The new figure is part of Monster High’s Skullector line, a series known for reimagining iconic characters from film and television through the franchise’s signature spooky aesthetic. The Coraline edition was developed in partnership with LAIKA Studios and is scheduled to launch on March 13, 2026, through Mattel Creations’ official platform.
Rather than recreating Coraline as a traditional toy, Mattel redesigned the character through the Monster High lens while preserving recognizable elements from the film. The doll wears Coraline’s iconic yellow raincoat, striped socks and boots, alongside darker stylistic details typical of the Monster High universe.
Standing approximately 10.5 inches tall, the collectible features multiple articulation points for display and includes accessories referencing key moments from the movie, such as a button-eyed rag doll and companion elements tied to the story’s mysterious alternate world.
The doll will initially be available to members of Mattel’s Fang Club, reinforcing its positioning as a limited collector item rather than a mass retail toy. Reports indicate a launch price around 84.88 dollars, excluding shipping and additional fees depending on region.
