McDonald’s Singapore is set to delight pet owners with its inaugural foray into pet merchandise, introducing the Happy Meow Bag — a limited-edition carrier designed specifically for cats and other furry companions. This playful novelty item marks the brand’s first pet-focused product in the market and will be available for one day only on March 9, 2026, starting at 5pm.
Inspired by the classic McDonald’s “dabao” takeaway bag, the Happy Meow Bag serves as a cosy hideout where cats can lounge, snuggle, or peek out through a mini window. It comes complete with a set of themed patches featuring a cat, fries, bow tie, name card, and the iconic McDonald’s uniform design, adding a fun, branded twist to the accessory. Described as the “purr-fect” carrier for feline friends, the bag combines practicality with cuteness, appealing to cat lovers and McDonald’s fans alike.
The Happy Meow Bag is priced at S$9.90 each and requires a minimum in-store spend of S$30 on a single receipt. Availability is strictly limited to 120 bags per participating store on a first-come, first-served basis, with the promotion exclusive to MyMcDonald’s Rewards (MyM) members. Registration for MyM is free via the McDonald’s app.
To redeem the deal, customers must follow these steps at the selected outlets: obtain a queue card from staff upon arrival, place the minimum S$30 order at a Self-Ordering Kiosk, redeem the “S$9.90 Happy Meow Bag with min. S$30 spend” offer in the McDonald’s app, and scan the app’s QR code at the kiosk to complete the purchase.
The promotion will be available exclusively at eight selected McDonald’s restaurants: Bedok Mall, Canberra Plaza, Choa Chu Kang Lot 1, Cineleisure, JEM, Jurong Central Park, Kallang (Stadium), and Punggol Northshore Plaza 1. No other locations or channels, such as McDelivery or non-participating stores, will offer the item.
As a one-day flash event, the launch is expected to generate significant interest among pet owners and collectors, with queues likely forming early due to the limited stock. McDonald’s Singapore has teased the item across its social media channels, building anticipation for what it calls a special treat for “pawrents” and their cats.
